Kim Kardashian said she prepared herself to be raped and killed during Paris robbery

Reality star and mother-of-two, Kim Kardashian, is still revealing more details about her traumatic experience in the hands of the robbers who attacked her in Paris.

On Sunday night's episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she revealed that the moment her attackers threw her on the bed, she already prepared her mind to be raped and killed by them and imagined that her sister, Kourtney, will come in to find her dead body.
She said: 

"He grabs my legs, and I wasn’t, you know, I had no clothes on under. He pulled me toward him at the front of the bed and I thought, 'Okay, this is the moment they’re going to rape me,'" 

"I fully mentally prepped myself – and then he didn’t.  He duck taped my legs together and had the gun up to me. I knew that was the moment they’re just totally going to shoot me in the head. I just prayed that Kourtney’s going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed…like, I’m not going to make it out of here. I know how these things go."

Before the show aired, Kim took to her social media account to reveal that the particular episode was going to be very tough for her to watch.

"Tonight’s episode is going to be very tough for me. However, I thought it was important to share this story through my eyes & not in an interview where my own words could be twisted. I have always shared so much & I’m not going to hold back when this was probably one of the most life changing experiences for me," she wrote on Twitter. 

Recounting the incident to her sister, Kourtney and Khloe, Kim said: 

"I'm dozing and then I heard pounding up the stairs. I thought it was [Kourtney] and Stephanie drunk. I was calling to them like “Hello?” and there was no answer. And then at that moment when there wasn’t an answer my heart started to get really tense. My stomach knots up thinking “What’s going on?” I knew something wasn’t right."

Tiffany, Donald and Eric Trump attend the grand opening of Trump Hotel and Tower in Vancouver while protests raged outside

While Donald Trump prepared for his speech to Congress in DC on Tuesday, his children, Tiffany, Donald Jr. and Eric, together with their wives Vanessa and Lara were in Canada for the opening of a new family property in Vancouver.

In the absence of their father and sister, Ivanka, the siblings wore a broad smile as they fulfilled their family duties by cutting the ribbon to indicate the opening of the Trump Hotel and Tower.

 

The new Trump building is reported to be a "twisting $360-million tower with 147 luxury guest rooms and suites feature sweeping views through floor-to-ceiling windows in one of the tallest buildings in the city at 69-stories high". It is the second Trump property in Canada.

 

 

Speaking about the new property, Donald Jr. revealed that the hotel will provide jobs and offer local entertainment.

"Hotels are an important part of the fabric of each community by providing both career opportunities and driving the local economy," he said. 

"Trump Vancouver has not only created over 300 jobs but it will offer guests and locals exceptional hospitality as well as fantastic dining and entertainment. We are incredibly honored to be a part of this world-class city."

Tiffany's attendance helped fill in the gap left after Ivanka moved to DC with her husband and stepped down from her position as Executive Vice President following her husband's role as senior adviser to President Trump. It is believed that Tiffany, who is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania and is about to go to Law school, might be stepping in to play the role Ivanka had occupied.

Rory Mcllroy speaks for first time on the public uproar after his golf game with Trump, admits he'll never have voted Trump

Professional golfer, Rory McIlroy, opened up for the first time about the criticism he received for playing golf with US President Donald Trump. He said that he accepted the invitation to play only out of respect for the office of the President and said he has no regrets doing that.

The 27-year-old Northern Irishman, however, admitted that he was shocked by the outcry that greeted his decision.

"I must admit I was a bit taken aback by how much blowback it caused playing with him but I guess it just underlines how divisive a campaign it was," McIlroy said. 

"It was all about respecting the office and it was a fascinating experience. Nothing prepares you for seeing 30 secret servicemen around him and 30 cops, and snipers in the trees. We spent the whole afternoon talking about golf because that’s how he wanted it."

In spite of the beautiful game they both participated in, Rory revealed that he would never have voted Donald Trump if he were an American citizen.

"If I’d have been American I’m not sure how I would have voted. I wouldn’t have voted for Trump, in fact, I wouldn’t have voted for either leading candidate. If anything, I would probably have voted for an Independent," he said.

McIlroy contemplated his return to the game after being away for seven weeks due to a fractured rib. He revealed that he has missed playing competitively and hopes to return to being number one in the game.

 

 

McIlroy also admitted that he felt frustrated watching nearly all his rivals win in recent weeks to gain some momentum in the build-up to the season’s first major, the Masters next month.

Donald Trump and Theresa May agree to delay Trump's visit to Britain in order to avoid protest

Donald Trump's state visit to Britain which was rumoured to have been set up for June will now be delayed so as to avoid protests in the UK over his recent policies.

The visit has now been postponed to October in order to give time for the controversy generated by his travel ban to die down. The visit is expected to be from October 5th to 8th. The date for the visit falls in at the time when Parliament will be on recess so this means Trump will not have to address MPs in Parliament and risk further protests.

 

 

Last Month speaker John Bercow moved to ban Trump from addressing Parliament as Britons took to streets to protest Trump's expected visit.

 A senior government source told The Sun that Trump will like to be in the UK this year but he wants to wait for the heat to die down before making the visit.

"The White House watch what happens over here surprisingly closely, and they don't want to create a scene for our sake either," he said.

The October visit could increase Trump's chance of seeing the Queen at her Scottish castle where she holidays in the summer of every year.

Former Permanent Secretary forfeits 47 cars to the Federal Govt

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, today disclosed that a former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Power, Godknows Igali, ‎has forfeited 47 SUV cars to Federal government. The antigraft agency made the disclosure in a a report it submitted to Senate Committee on Financial Crimes and Anti-corruption today.


According to EFCC, the cars were seized at the Utako, Abuja residence of the former Permanent Secretary who is currently being investigated for alleged corrupt practices while he was in office.

Charles Soludo, Pat Utomi, others demand urgent release of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu

Former CBN governor, Charles Soludo, Pat Utomi and other prominent Ibo men today paid a visit to Kuje prison Abuja where they met and interacted with detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu and some of his members. 

After the meeting, Soludo on behalf of the other delegates addressed a press conference at Chelsea hotel Abuja  where they demanded for the urgent release of Kanu and his other members. 
Kanu was arrested by DSS officials in October last year and is being tried fro treasonable offences.

Soludo in his statement said

“We are a delegation of Nzuko Umunna, a pan-Igbo group. We visited Nnamdi Kanu to hear his own point of view as well as share our own point of view with him. We believe that Nigeria has the potential to be great, and like most countries has its own challenges. Nigeria has never been more divided than now. Most discerning patriots have come to the conclusion that Nigeria as currently structured is destined to be a failed state‎. It is our considered view that most of the agitation is in response to a looting elite. We do not condone violence. We note that in 2015 Nigerians voted for change. As the ruling party, the APC has it a duty to deliver to the Nigerian people. So far, APC seems to have abandoned its cardinal duty to Nigeria. We are in a state of emergency at all levels. We demand the urgent release of Nnamdi Kanu, and his colleagues as part of the process of engineering a new Nigeria. No citizen of Nigeria deserves the treatment that is being meted to Nnamdi Kanu and his colleagues‎. Nnamdi Kanu is not above the law, and he should not be put below the law”.

Lol! Now China wants to start paying families to have more than one child

The Chinese government is currently considering giving families financial incentives to have a second child in a bid to reach higher birth rate targets. 

This marks a dramatic turn around from more than four decades of the country's one-child policy when there were harsh penalties for having more than one, including fines and forced abortions.

Wang Peian, the vice-minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC), said the commission is considering "birth rewards and subsidies" for second children. Wang made the announcement on Saturday during a meeting of the China Social Welfare Academy, a Chinese NGO that works closely with the government.

According to China Daily, the announcement was in part prompted by a survey the NHFPC carried out in 2015, showing that 60% of families polled were reluctant to have a second child because of financial constraints.

Chelsea and Mourinho, Leicester city and Ranieiri..Do footballers now have so much power in the football game? (Editorial)

On Monday night, Leicester city shocked the football world by beating Liverpool 3-1, and the performance was do dogged and reminiscent of last season's performances that led them to a historic premier league title win.

It was their first game following the sacking of Claudio Ranieri and the installment of Craig Shakespeare as caretaker boss, moving the club out of the Premier League bottom three as two goals from Jamie Vardy and a Danny Drinkwater strike saw off Liverpool.

It was gathered that top players in the club like Marc Albrighton, captain Wes Morgan, Jamie Vardy and Kasper Schmeichel met with the club's owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha following their 2-1 Champions League defeat in Seville last week Wednesday to demand for his sack, saying they didn't believe in his abilities anymore, and then on Thursday he was sacked.

 

Flash back to December 2015, when Chelsea sacked Jose Mourinho, their most successful manager in the history of the club after a run of poor results, just 7 months after winning the EPL title and capital one cup for the club..

Reports had it that Mourinho had a broken down relationship with top stars at the club like Eden Hazard, John Mikel Obi, John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic and Diego Costa. It was also reported that this players contacted owner Roman Abramovich (who they have his phone number) to complain that they didn't like Mourinho's coaching style again.

That season he was branded the 'unhappy one', a different and totally negative nickname compared to his well known 'the special one'.

The nail in the coffin was after Chelsea's 2-1 loss to Leicester city, the defence looked shabby, and there was no hunger in the eyes of the players as they lost to a vibrant Leicester side.

Mourinho after the Leicester city loss attacked his players:

Leicester city players too are now regarded on social media as snakes..Anyone who watched Monday night's thrashing of Liverpool, will know that this was a particularly different side from the one who played shabby football the last nine months. Bar N'golo Kante, Leicester city still had the same crop of players who won them the league last season. While Chelsea in 2016 also had almost the same set of players (bar Didier Drogba) that won them the 2015 premier league title..So is this player power in effect?

Can footballers now decide to 'shut up shop' whenever they feel like, or whenever they want a coach to be sacked?. Some of this players earn as much as £200,000 per week.. It is demanded from them to put their hearts out and fight with all body,mind and soul whenever they put on the jersey of their club.. If they can't fight for the exorbitant fees they receive as salaries, then at least they should fight for the club crest, the fans who sweat through their pockets to watch them play and the millions of soccer fans who watch them worldwide.

Football needs to get it's sanity back! and soon.... If players feel they can act anyhow and play anyhow knowing that the blame will fall on the coach, then coaches are in for some real trouble.. If not how do you explain a team who won the premier league in 2015 (Chelsea), languishing in 16th position in 2016, or a team who won the EPL in 2016 (Leicester) in 17th position, 9 months later??.

The game of football doesn't need 'snakes' and if it were possible for players to be sacked instantly like coaches then everyone will sit up...

Over 40,000 people sign petition for Obama to run for the president of France

Some French Citizens, faced between the choice of electing scandal-hit politicians, are opting to hire Barack Obama as the president of France.

A campaign spreading across France has garnered support with over 40,000 people putting their signature on a petition to have Obama run for the French presidency.
Organizers of the unofficial Obama17 campaign have spread posters across Paris with the slogan "Oui on peut" which translates in English to mean "Yes we can ".

The organizers of the campaign revealed that they are aiming to get a million signatures by May 15th. Though aware that it will be impossible for a foreign national to contest for the seat of the president, the organizers revealed that the current election campaign in France is a failure and that the current situation of their country called for radical choices. They revealed that Obama has the best resumé in the world to do the job.

“The French are ready to make radical choices - that is good because we have a radical idea to propose to them,” a statement partly read. 

''To launch this 6th Republic, we wish to strike a blow by electing a foreign President as the leader of our beautiful country. 

“Barack Obama has completed his second term as President of the United States on 21 January, why not hire him as the President for France?”
